Today marks two years since SilkAir, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, launched their inaugural flight to Cairns.
Cairns was SilkAir’s second Australian port after Darwin, which was added to their network in 2012.
Aerocare has supported SilkAir at Cairns airport since the May 2015 launch and the service continues to run three times per week between the tropical destinations.
SilkAir will be launching flights with its B737-MAX later this year.
With the launch of Cairns in 2015, SilkAir’s route network increased to 49 destinations in 12 countries.
Aerocare is the largest ground handler within the Australian and New Zealand region, with more than 3,000 team members currently servicing 3,200 flights per week and 41,200 passengers per day.
