Japan Airlines has appointed Aerocare to support the new daily direct service between Melbourne and Tokyo commencing on September 1.
Aerocare will provide the full range of ground handling services for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights to Tokyo’s Narita International Airport.
Aerocare CEO Glenn Rutherford said: “Aerocare is extremely pleased to be partnering with JAL to deliver this new route.”
“We will employ an additional 30 team members and focus on delivering an unrivalled service to JAL, with the highest levels of performance and reliability.”
Melbourne will become the second destination in Australia within JAL’s international network, with daily flights arriving at 21:55 and departing at 00:05.
Aerocare is the largest ground handler within the Australian and New Zealand region, with more than 3,000 team members currently servicing 3,200 flights per week and 41,200 passengers per day.
