Two Aerocare team members have been selected for Jetstar’s new Under the Wing Flying Squad which launched this week.
Greg Spencer from Aerocare Perth and Jeremy Browne from Aerocare Sunshine Coast are part of the squad, which undertook training in Melbourne last week.
Jetstar Australia’s Head of Ground Operations Todd Chapman said the squad members drawn from Jetstar and contractor airports and would be deployed as “roving ambassadors” to encourage excellence in standards and compliance, help drive safety promotional activities and support the change management of the implementation of any new procedures or new technology.
“I spent some time with the team and they are the best group of people. They come from diverse backgrounds and have more than a hundred years of experience between them however they all have a singularity in their hearts… they are passionate about Jetstar, about safety and about people,” Mr Chapman said.
Aerocare CEO Glenn Rutherford said: “We were pleased to nominate two of our best and brightest to take on this important role working with Jetstar ramp teams across the country. We know that they will inspire and promote the highest standards wherever they go.”
Aerocare is the largest ground handler within the Australian and New Zealand region, with more than 3,000 team members currently servicing 3,200 flights per week and 41,200 passengers per day.
